Stranger Things Season 5 Ending Foreshadowed: A Wild Theory

What Season 5 Might Have In Store for Eleven and Kali?

Fans of “Stranger Things” are known for their intricate theories and careful attention to detail. Recently, a new theory about the potential ending of the upcoming fifth season has been making rounds, which, albeit a little wild, is based on subtle hints from the fourth season’s premiere episode.

In “Stranger Things,” the references to Dungeons & Dragons (D&D) aren’t just for fun; they often hint at what’s to come. For instance, in the first episode of season 4, the show’s D&D team – Mike, Erica, Dustin, and others – battles Vecna, a villain from the D&D universe.

The theory suggests that Eleven (played by Millie Bobby Brown) might not be able to defeat Vecna and her sister, Kali Prasad (aka Eight), might have to step in to save the day.

The scene where the D&D team battles Vecna runs parallel to a basketball match in which Lucas is playing. When Dustin rolls the dice in their game, he gets an 11, possibly hinting at Eleven’s unsuccessful attempt to defeat Vecna.

In the meantime, Lucas, wearing the jersey number 8, makes the winning shot in the basketball game, potentially symbolizing Eight’s triumph over Vecna. This scenario, though speculative, showcases the ingenious storytelling techniques of the show’s creators, the Duffer brothers.

But the coincidences don’t end there. To win against Vecna in D&D, one must roll a 20. The sum of Eleven and Eight’s numbers, along with one additional number, equals 20. This last figure might signify the number of Henry/Vecna, suggesting that both Eleven and Eight might play a role in unlocking some positive memories in Vecna, leading to his downfall.

This theory draws parallels with how Eleven tapped into Billy’s past to defeat the monster in Season 3.
