Many stars will single out at least one role they regret, and that’s certainly the case for Sandra Bullock.
This 59-year-old actress has appeared in numerous hits, but there is one film in her career that she regrets. As she says, she is still embarrassed by her role in “Speed 2” to this day.
“I’ve always been uncomfortable that I appeared in ‘Speed 2.’ I am still ashamed. I was clear. The plot makes no sense. The ship slowly heads towards an island,” she said.

The host mentioned that he liked the film as a teenager, to which Bullock responded that he was in the minority.
“I’m glad you enjoyed it, but I wish I hadn’t worked on that film. Besides you, I don’t know any fans of that movie,” she replied.
“Speed 2: Cruise Control” was released in 1997 as a sequel to the 1994 hit “Speed,” in which she starred alongside Keanu Reeves. Bullock returns as Annie, who tries to save the day with her boyfriend (Jason Patric) after their cruise ship is hijacked.
Keanu Reeves turned down the role in Speed 2
His decision not to return for the sequel to the popular film left many fans disappointed, but Reeves explained his choice in 2021. During an appearance on The Graham Norton Show, he revealed that he simply “didn’t connect” with the script at the time.
“I really wanted to work with Sandra Bullock again, I loved playing Jack Traven, and I loved Speed, but a cruise ship? I had no issues with the people involved in the project, but at that point, I just felt it wasn’t right for me,” he said.
He also discussed it on Jimmy Kimmel Live! in 2015, saying:
“I read the script and thought: ‘A cruise ship is even slower than a bus.’ I told them, ‘I love you guys, but this just isn’t for me.'”
