Lacoste Ditches Its Crocodile for Novak Djokovic

The famous fashion brand Lacoste has made a drastic change because of Novak Djokovic.

The company Lacoste was founded back in 1933, with the legendary crocodile as its trademark—a symbol that has never gone out of use.

Over the years, the brand has gone through a few changes, but never anything like what we’re seeing now, just ahead of Novak Djokovic’s appearance at the US Open.

Because of the greatest tennis player in the history of the sport, Lacoste has replaced its famous crocodile with a goat, in honor of the Serbian champion who is, in the eyes of many, the “Greatest of All Time.”

The well-known abbreviation “G.O.A.T.” literally reads as “goat,” making it a fitting tribute.

So, Novak will step onto the court in New York with a slightly altered brand logo, as he begins his quest for another Grand Slam title.
